The Fremont Street Experience initially featured a display containing more that 2.1 million lightbulbs controlled by 32 separate computers. A 2004 upgrade to the system resulting in the installation of more than 12.5 million LED display lights. These lights are capable of producing more color combinations and sharper images than those of the original display.
