Rubens and His Age: The Latest Guggenheim Hermitage Exhibit

An extraordinary collection of Flemish baroque masterpieces are currently on display inside the Guggenheim Hermitage Museum. The eighth display to be opened inside the Las Vegas Guggenheim Hermitage, Rueben and His Age contains a selection of more than 40 artworks. Paintings and decorative objects are displayed throughout the museum, including works by Anthony van Dyck, Jacob Jordaens, Jacob Van Oost the Elder and more. Customers of US Las Vegas Car Rentals are encouraged to explore this multiple-part display, which focuses on four thematic sections: mythology, religion, genre/landscape and portraiture. The period of Flemish baroque painting represents, without a doubt, an amazing age of artistic creation, and the Guggenheim Hermitage is proud to provide visitors with an in-depth look at some of the age's most prominent artists. Organized by a number of Hermitage curators, in consultation with the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, the Rubens and His Ages display will run until September 4th, 2006.

Housing History: The Guggenheim Hermitage Museum Building

The Guggenheim Hermitage Museum in Las Vegas is one of the world's premiere exhibition spaces. This enclosed space inside the Venetian Hotel and Casino proudly houses works from around the world, and throughout the ages. In order to keep these masterpieces safe, the Guggenheim Hermitage features interior and exterior walls built of Cor-Ten steel. This unique material has never been used in a museum before. The lightly textured industrial strength medal provides a stark modern contrast to the ornately designed Venetian hotel, evoking the tradition of velvet walls from the Hermitage Museum.
